It was nice being able to relax for a moment, even if it was just a moment to paddle her feet in the water without looking over her shoulder constantly, even if she was only down here to soak the swollen wrist she'd gotten. Oh, and to think up a story to go with it. Slowly, Crys looked up from the darkening bruises, towards the tiny gold that now paddled in the water, back and forth, forth and back. Cheeping happily every moment she was in the water. Chrissa didn't get to play much, if ever.
Seeing her bonded's gaze on her, the pale gold flitt gave a sad chirp, paddling over and resting on the shore infront of Crys. Why was Hers looking at her like that? Chrissa liked the water, she was having fun, she wasn't hurting in the water, oh no. Cheeping sweetly again, the gold gently moved closer to touh her nose to Crys' wrist. She'd make it all better, Hers would see, now Hers was coming for a swim, yes?
Smiling at the images flickering through her mind, Crys almost laughed at the hopeful expression in Chrissa's eyes. It almost, almost reminded her of a begging canine, the way she was perched with her wings folded delicately along her back. "Not now. You go play." Dissapointment then, as the gold huffed but did as she was bid and returned to the water with a happy squeal. Only taking fright when a large shadow came over her.
Mine, it is a little Ganesa. Do you see her, she is so pretty. Kaerth's voice was soft as he bent down, getting as close to the ground as he could while D'nor slid from his neck. Flitts always interested him, they were cute, but some were nasty, he'd learnt that by getting his nose snapped at a few times. This time though, it seemed the girl was more afraid of His than him. What a strange thought. Reaching out carefully, he allowed his thoughts to brush hers, shrinking back behind his rider - a rather amusing thing, seeing a huge silver shrinking behind an average man - as he did so. Mine won't hurt you. He whispered, then scuttled back in shock at the response. Won't he? MINE! She spoke to me! You spoke to her first. Yes but she spoke back! In my head. She heard me.
D'nor's amused gaze went from his pale bonded to the girl in a fleeting moment, noting the way she tugged her sleeve down over her hands, even though the day was rather warm. Ganesa gave a curious cheep from his shoulder, stretching out to observe the little gold on the other humanthing's shoulder. She was very pretty. "Good day, I hope we didn't interupt anything?" A mute shake of the head in response, shards, but the girl looked like she was terrified of him. Kaerth he could understand, he was a large dragon, but him? "Uh, I'm D'nor, rider of silver Kaerth. This is my flitt, Ganesa.." Trailing off, he cleared his throat after a moment. My this was odd. "You are?" "Oh I, uh... I'm Crysania... T-this is my flitt, Chrissa." Well, he'd managed to get her name, what an achievement. Smiling in what he hoped was a friendly manner, he waved a hand at Kaerth. "Kaerth says you hear him." A mute nod. This was going to take... Forever.

Curious as ever, blue Tidalwave popped in from between. He made a chittering sound, circling above them. He was watching them, head tilted a little as he reguarded them. Then he dived into the water to swim, cheeping happily. (What a goofball, lol!)
Azarith let out a soft, if you could call it that, playful bulge as she dived to the lake. "Azarith NO!"Jasmyn could be heard saying, as the pearl had not stopped to let her rider off on the shore. Instead she'd dived in with her still on.
Jasmine came up sputtering a little and headed for the shore. Azarith popped up again and turned her head to watch her rider. Her eyes whirled quickly, amusement the main coloration. Jasmyn removed what she could, with still being polite, and rung out her clothes as best she could.

Chreissa cheeped in amusement at the other flitt, tilting her head to one side as she chittered at him, turning to watch him from beneath the saftey of Crys' long hair. He was such an odd flitt, but she liked odd and who was that? Chittering in a scolding manner at the pearl and then her rider, she was only stopped when Crys placed a finger on her lips, signalling that Chrissa had to shush now.
D'nor chuckled softly, even as he bowed to the young woman, shrugging out of his wher-hide jacket and offering it to the drenched young woman. "Here, miss. Kaerth's done that more times than I care to count." His smile was warm, even as Kaerth made an embarrassed sound behind him. What would the Pearl think of him now? How embarrassing! If dragons could blush, Kaerth would be doing so in great amounts as he tilted his head at the pearl. Good day Azarith. I... hope you and Yours are well? It is a lovely day for a swim, is it not? Speaking with a shy edge to his voice, the silver shuffled closer to the water, looking back at his rider as if for permission.
"Have you met Crysania weyrwoman?" Oh shards. Shards, shards, shards. Eyes went wide at those words, and as much as Crys would have liked to flee at that, Chrissa gave a happy trill/purr at the werrwoman. Her way of saying: I like you. I don't know you, and Mine doesn't know you. But I like you. A hand was waved at her adn Crys came very slowly forward, bowing deeply to the weyrwoman. "H-hello. Weyrwoman..."

"Thank you, D'nor, right? I appriciate it, but it isn't nessicary. It's still early enough that I'll dry out quickly enough,"She said with a smile. Azarith rumbled softly with amusement from behind her. ~Good Day Kaerth. We are both well. How are you and yours? It is a lovely day for a swim, however mine seems not to want to. I just tried to get her to.~
Jasmyn looked to Crysania, she smiled at her. "You're on of the new candidates, are you not?"She asked. Tide had come and stroked his head lovingly against Jasmyn's cheek before going back to the water.

D'nor nodded in response to his name, another short bow as he folded the jacket over his arm. "D'nor it is. I'm flattered you remember." Smiling pleasantly, he tilted his head to one side, blowing the strands of hair that fell into his face out of it with a breath. "As you wish, the offer's there if you get cold though." Kaerth made a happy sound at being replied to, and his eyes whirled with happiness as his tail twitched on the shore. Mine and I are well. Thankyou for asking Queen Azarith. How nice! She'd spoken to him! Actually asked about his rider to! Oh she was a lovely dragon wasn't she, and so pretty too. Well... I will swim with you... If you want. The offer was there shyly, the silver ducking his head in a bow to the queen, though inside was bouncing at the idea of a friend.
Crys nodded, slowly, biting down on her lip as she reached her non-swollen hand up to stroke Chrissa for comfort. The gold gave a tiny cheep before enthusiasically rubbing herself along the girl's jaw, crooning lovingly. Almost as if she were having a competition with Ganesa and Tidalwave. Who could show more love to theirs? Haha! She could! "Y-yes. My brother and I c-came not l-long ago."

Jasmyn smiled faintly. "You forget that we haven't very many that have transfered in yet. The weyr has only begun to come back to life. I look for more bronze riders to end up coming."She said. ~Just Azarith. Come in, the water feels nice.~ Azarith was paddling about, mostly out of sheer boredom.
Jasmyn smiled to Crys. "Welcome to the weyr then, both of you. I'm hoping the weyr won't be quite as empty in a while." Tidalwave came and landed on Jasmyn's shoulder, not caring of her soaking wet clothing.

D'nor nodded briefly, his eyes going from Kaerth to Azarith with a faint smile, other higher ranked colours would indeed show up in the weyr, after all, nothing beckoned riders like a queen old enough to fly. The tempation of Weyrleadership. For D'nor, he wasn't really all that tempted by the Flight, more that it was a place to begin over. "True, true. No doubt once the bronze riders hear of your beauty and your Queens, they'll flock to the weyr." Smiling impishly, he swept a bow in her direction, eyes alight with laughter.
Kaerth could say he was shocked by the invitation, and that was why he hesitated, but eventually moved into the water. It was cool, and it was a nice day to swim. Crooning to Azarith happily, the silver folded his wings, unintentionally splashing the Pearl. Giving an apologetic sound as he did so. Turning his head to watch her with apologetic eyes. I apologise, I didn't mean to splash you. The water is nice, I am glad to swim with you... Azarith. Speaking her name shyly, he nodded his head towards her, eyes whirling happily after a moment.
Chrissa chittered at that, tossing her head as though she were shaking her head sadly at the woman's words. Hers' clutch brother was awful, she hated him and his stupid flitt was even worse. Growling softly until Crys tapped her side, the girl ducked her head shyly. "T-thankyou weyrwoman. I-I'll be sure to mention your welcome to him." Pausing a moment, a tiny smile flickered across her lips, "I like empty." You need not worry. Azarith's is nice. Azarith is nice too. Nodding mutely at the reassurance, teh girl finally remembered her manners, bowing in Azarith's direction and sending a polite mental greeting.

Azarith crooned softly. She extended her neck toward Crys, coming out of the water enough so her head was directly in front of the girl. Her head was BIG, but Kaerth's wasn't far behind. She was still bigger than he was, but not by much. He was a large silver, and she admired that in him. There weren't many that could compete with her in size.
~Mine ment the greeting to you and D'nor. Not to the wherrybrained one that calls himself your brother. If he should hurt you again, come to me, I'll protect you.~ Azarith said the first sentence to both Crys and D'nor, but the last bit was to Crys alone.
Jasmyn snorted some at that. "They'd better not get their hopes too high. If I don't like someone I'll make sure Azarith knows so she doesn't pick his dragon in her flight."

Crys jumped in shock as the pearl came closer to her, eyes widening as she glanced at the weyrwoman. She knew some riders hated their dragons communicating with other people, especially HAD's. Jasmyn didn't strike her as the possessive type, but she didn't want the weyrwoman to yell at her either. That the pearl was offering her protection was more than anyone had ever offered Crys and she bit her lip to stop herself from tearing up. Thank-you Azarith... I'm sure he'll stop now we're at the weyr. Even her brother wouldn't be so stupid as to try and get away with things at a weyr.
Kaerth found it a little strange that she was only slightly bigger than him, he was sure Queens were supposed to be much larger than their potential mates. Even though, seeing how close he was to Azarith in size, he did feel a sweel of pride. You have my protection too little one. You need only call for me and I, or Mine, will come to your aid. Rumbling soothingly from the water, Kaerth said nothing as he watched the girl.
D'nor smiled at Azarith, bowing slightly as her powerful voice echoed in his mind before blinking in surprise at the wave of protectiveness over Crys that came from his Silver. What ever was wrong, why she was timid, he didn't know, but it was bad enough that Kaerth would protect her. Well, he would too, and maybe find out what was going on. Kaerth wouldn't say. Smiling pleasently at Jasmyn, D'nor nodded easily. "You're lucky. I've heard stories of golds that don't listen. Azarith seems much more sensitive to you than that though. Still, it won't stop them trying, the chance to stand beside such beatuy? Even blues are bound to try."

Jasmyn laughed softly. "If anything below a rainbow tried for her, it'd greatly offend her pride. She is more sensative in her own way, but she's still just as prideful as any queen. She at least likes Kaerth enough that she will let him near her. If there is a male she does not like for whatever reason she snaps and hisses at them. I've had to get after her for biting a brown before. I'm sure she'd do it again, but only if whatever dragon it is didn't get her warning."
~You are quite welcome little one. Mine does not mind because it's my choice to talk to you. Besides which, she's not one to get jealous, at least not over something like this. Mine knows I only do such a thing with only a good reason behind it. If I am unable to get to you, such as you're in a place to little for me to fit, I'll send mine to you.~

D'nor chuckled then, he could well see that, an offended Queen ordering a blue or even a brown from her skies. Blues were usually smarter than that though, they wouldn't last a queen flight. Nor would they be able to sire a big clutch, not like the higher colours. Glancing at Kaerth with affectionate pride, he nodded. "He's a sweet one. My gentle giant. Azarith would only have to ask, and he would do as she requested." He laughed softly, knowing just how much his dragon already respected the pearl enough to do absolutely anythign she asked. Ganesa cheeped softly from his shoulder, stretching out to look at Jasmyn cautiously.
Crys smiled briefly, she'd never known before that she could talk to dragons, now she did, it was almost overwhelming just how comforting the large creatures could be. Still, she looked at Azarith with respect, and a small look of fear crossed her face, Yours doesn't know does she? I don't want to make trouble, and what if he doesn't Impress because of me? Yes, she was worried for her brother, always would be.

~That would not be your fault. It would be his own for not being acceptable to any of the avalible hatchlings. Do not fear so much for his sake. Just do your best to keep out of his way and if you need to, call me. Should D'nor be closer than mine, Kaerth will send his to aid you first. Mine does not know, that is for you to tell her. Mine wants very much for you to feel comfortable here at the weyr.~ Azarith crooned softly, comfortingly to Crys. She also wanted the girl to feel welcome to their home.
Jasmyn smiled. "What's your firelizard's name Crysania? She's a pretty little thing. You've already met Tidalwave, my blue."

Kaerth' hide shimmered as he moved out of the water to press a reassuring muzzle to the girl's cheek. Affection and proitectiveness showing as his whirling eyes settled on the girl. This is true. If ever you need us, you must only call. Or, if you can not find us, send your golden one to find Ganesa. She will be with Mine. This is your home now Crysania, you are well protected. Rubbing his muzzle against the girl's cheek, it was very obvious Kaerth had taken the girl under his wing, he would defend her as much as he would his own rider.
Crys looked surprised, she'd thought the dragon would share everything with her rider. She was thankful though, she didn't want anyone to know of Kai's... Well, she didn't really want to call it abuse... Thankyou, Azarith, Kaerth. No one's ever defended me before.. I almost hope he will Impress, perhaps he won't hate me as much... Would she ever tell the rider, not unless she became extremely close to her. It just wasn't Crys' way to spill her secrets... Looking up at the weyrwoman with a bit more confidene, she lifted her uninjured hand - which hadn't been moved the whole time she was talking with the riders - and got Chrissa to crawl onto it. "Her n-name is Chrissa." The gold immediately crooned and arched her neck as she was called pretty. "S-she says, t-thankyou.." Smiling lightly at the blue, she bowed her head slightly. "A-a pleasure."

Tidalwave cheeped happily. He waddled over, since he couldn't walk right. Something had happened to his one foreleg some time ago. He crooned and rubbed against her leg like a feline before being an oddball and doing a sort of dance for her, to make her smile and laugh.
Jasmyn defianantly laughed at his antics. "I believe he is thanking you and welcoming you to the weyr. Plus he wants to make you laugh."She said with a smile.

Crys laughed at that, Chrissa taking off from her hand to land on Jasmyn's shoulder, amusement whirling in her bright eyes as she watched the blue. He was interesting. To say the least. Bending down to him, Crys reached out to pet the small blue, a smile dancing in her eyes as she carefully moved her swollen wrist to the side. She didn't want to bump it. "Crys, what happened to your wrist?" D'nor's eyes were sharper than most riders, and he'd been watching the girl carefuly, even as Kaerth rumbled and warned him not to pursue it. "I-I'm glad to be here." Crys mumbled in response to Jasmyn, her cheeks colouring as she tugged ehr sleeve over the swollen marks.
Chrissa cheeped softly, but gave no explination as her bonded shifted uncomfortably. "I-I fell." She'd been using that very excuse for years, and from the way the silver rider raised a brow, it was obvious he didn't believe her. Oh well..
