Roasha had found the best part of the Weyr in some people's minds. The beach.
She had a lot to think about, and the cool water helped. She floated in the shallows, watching a small fair of wild firelizards swoop and dip overhead. Sadly, there did not seem to be any eggs around at the moment. Of course, she wouldn't want to be the one who found them.
If there was a clutch, she hoped it would be a rider, who's dragon could get everyone who wanted one here.
And if Azarith clutched...
How could she consider herself worthy of a dragon? Well, there were plenty of greens...

Andol walked out on to the beach. He felt the sand bettwen his toes because he was walk barefoot. He saw a girl floating in the shallows of the water and it made him nerevous, but Iron chriped at him and he said to the firelizard " Your right maybe I should try to make more friends." He then walked out toward the water and sat down at the edge of it. He then thought of somthing and he wispered it to Iron who took off form Andols shoulders and flew out to were the girl was and flew down and splashed her. Then started to fly around her. All the while Andol sat the with a small smile on his face.

Roasha jumped a bit as the firelizard splashed her. "Hey, little one," she greeted, shifting so that her body fell vertical and treading water. As bold as it was, it probably wasn't a wild one.
And yes, it was Andol on the beach. Iron. "Sorry, Iron, didn't recognize you for a moment."
She hesitated before swimming ashore with strong strokes, climbing dripping onto the sand.

Iron chirped at Roasha has she came on the shore he flew and landed on her shoulder and then rubbed his head against her cheek then took of and landed on Andol's shoulders. Andol then smiled at Roasha and said to her " Hello Roasha. Nice day to be at the beach isn't it."

Roasha smiled. "It's perfect. I was hoping to spot some firelizard eggs, but there don't seem to be any at the moment." One of the wild greens chittered at Iron then flew off.
"Although I think that one was flirting with your Iron," she added, amused.
Firelizards definitely teased, she'd seen. Maybe that one was a little proddy.

Andol smiled and said " Yes it would be nice to find some. I would like to have another little firelizard just like Iron." When the green chirped at Iron the brown firelizard just curled his tail around his pet's neck and ignored it. Andol laughed at this and said " I don't think that Iron is interested."

Roasha laughed. "She doesn't seem to be glowing, so he's probably saving his energy"
She sat down at the edge of the water, trailing her feet in it. "So...maybe if there -is- a clutch, Iron can help us to find it?"

Andol just shrugged his shoulders. He knew Iron better and that and he knew that Iron was a very picky creature. He then thought and said " He probely would if there was one. All I would have to do is ask him."

Roasha nodded. "Think Azarith will clutch?" she asked, thoughtfully.
She wasn't worthy, she knew that, but she would try and not be too disappointed when she failed. Being a drudge here was better than being a drudge at Telgar. She knew that, so she had lost, in truth, nothing. And potentially gained everything.

Andol just simply replied to her " I don't know really, but all we can do is to hope that she does."
He then thought to himself about how much he wanted a dragon so that he could have somthing that he could trust that would talk back to him. Becuase even though he trusted Iron. The little firelizard could not exactlly speak. Yet he knew that his wish would probley not come true.

Roasha nodded a little. "Hope hurts, though. Hope makes you less than satisfied with who you are, and when you start hoping for something you can't bring about..." The girl tailed off.
"I shouldn't have brought up the subject."

Andol looked at Roasha and said " What is worng. Is there somthing you wan to tell me about. Normally pepole don't say things like that without somthing having happened to them and believe me I would know. Don't worry you can tell me I am good lisitiner." Iron chriped at her as though in agreement.

Roasha shook her head. "What makes me think -I- can be a dragonrider? I'm a drudge," she said, finally.
And a pause, "And the last time I hoped for more, I wound up some guy's sex object." That was honestly. "I'm not -worth- this. All I have is some decent looks and..."
She tailed off, staring at the ocean.

Andol just looked at her and said " You should not belittle yourself like that Roasha. I think that you would make a great dragonrider. Plus just because someone treated you that way it was probably because they were just a dimglow fool anyway. You are worth it because your beauty is that like that of jewel that you should treasure and you have more that just that to you. Beside you should not let the way someone treated you take your hope away."

Roasha shook her head. "Beauty just causes trouble. I don't want to be a jewel on somebody's arm and always wonder if any man I'm with wants me, or just a pretty ornament."
