Lagarth felt full of energy, he was big and knew that he had energy to waste. He did spins and flips to show off, getting the sun to flash nicely against his beautiful silver hied. He was the best for this pearl and he knew. He said to her, The beauty of your hied and the way you fly make you shimmer in the sun. You are the most beautiful dragon ever. He knew that she was his. He knew that he would sire the best clutch for the biggest male normally sired the best clutch, and she was giving a nice long chase.

His gold? His gold?! She was definantly NO gold. She hissed at the bronze that referred to her as such. Thorith had deffinantly crossed himself off Azarith's shortening list of potential mates. She may be gold in coloring, but she was a pearl.
Azarith veered a little, over Kaerth. She was just out of his reach to catch her. She was considering her options and above Kaerth seemed to be the best spot, with him being so large it would make it harder for the other males to get near her unless she moved away.

She had now veered over top of Kaerth. She had obviously been offended by someone. He crooned to her and flew worth everything he knew. He had the endurance, he was big, he should be the winner!
He slowed down so as to put himself behind Kaerth. This way he was closer to her. He then flew a little higher, so as to get himself at the same level as her. The other might fly in, but he knew that he was the one for beautiful Azarith. The bronzes definitely weren't worthy of him.
He thought to her, Oh beautiful and glorious Azarith, You fly so well, and smart.
He didn't truly care what she thought of the comments, but he knew that he loved her and wanted her. He knew that he would make the best father for these eggs. She was the best dragon ever! And he hoped that soon she would be his.

Gelorth held back a bugle of triumph when Azarith clearly spurned Thorith. That was one bronze out of the running. The sense of triumph faded when she flew closer to Kaerth. Maybe she was favoring the larger Silver. He flew closer, doing a barrel roll to impress her, and then he circled around her and the other males, making sure to keep himself in her view. He was too tense to stop moving and hover as she made her decision.

As Azarith hsised at Thorith, the larger silver fought the urge tyo chuckle. Instead, he turned his head in surprise as she shifted towards him, she wasn't close enough to catch though, and thus, Kaerth merely crooned questioningly at her. He honestly couldn't understand the reasoning for that movement.
What startled Kaerth into a low growl, was the other males moving closer. Yes, it was to Azarith they moved, but did he not respect their space? They should respect his! It wasn't fair that they should be so close! No, he wanted them to go away. Obviously uncomfortable with the proximity of the other dragons, Kaerth's eyes whirled darkly as he glanced at each of them. A collision wouldn't hurt him, not at all. It would probably hurt them though.
Still, Azarith was yet to make a descision, and despite his discomfort and failing confidence, Kaerth didn't attempt to move closer to her. Beautiful pearl Azarith. You fly wonderfully, I am honoured to have been a part of it. Was all he whispered, before turning a concerned glance at the other bronze, merely flicking his tail at the silver. Do be careful, I wouldn't want to hurt your wings if your tricks - clever as they are - brought you a bit too close. Yes, even in a flight, he was concerned for the well being of the others.

The hiss was enough to set Thorith back, and he instantly became contrite at the obvious displeasure. Whast should he just say? Perhaps he should just leave her flight? Or... I beg forgiveness pearl Azarith. Yourn beauty blinded my eyes for a moment. Whoops. Well, even if he lost this time, there would be other flights. Other times he could win. Simple.
Pausing as they all seemed to go towards Kaerth, Thorith held back. If they boxed him in, Kaerth might panic, and panic would be a quick way to get him sent away, and since they were all so close. A low crooning chuckle came from Thorith as he watched the silver's obvious discomfort. With that size, he'd bet he'd been used to having his space. Oh well, at least Thorith still had a chance, if she wouldn't choose him, maybe he could still catch her.

Decoth rumbled softly as Azarith hissed at one of the other Bronzes. He didn't know what he had done, but apparently something she didn't like. And it hadn't been him, so there was no need to worry... at least about the hiss. The Bronze was worried that the lovely Pearl queen was favoring the Silvers. Perhaps they were bigger, and new colors like her, but wasn't a Bronze, an original color, the better choice?
No Silver had caught a queen so far, no-one could be sure if they would be a good father. Bronzes were already the perfect choice. Hadn't it been a Bronze that fathered the lovely Azarith? Yes! Decoth would be a perfect mate too. He crooned softly, eyes focused on the Pearl who hovered above one of the Silvers. He wasn't moving to catch her, silly thing. But that was good... Decoth could still win.
But not by closing in as some others were doing. He would not merely catch the queen, he would make her want him as he wanted her. Then he would win. Crooning again, the Bronze twisted below the beautiful Pearl, below the other males, rolled and hovered upside-down for a moment so he could look up at the queen, as a male should look up to such a lovely female, and admire her briefly. Then he flipped back over and circled back behind her. Not too close, that was rude. Especially on her maiden Flight... no-one should be pressing her and yet they were.
Decoth would be the one to impress Azarith most, he would make sure of it. Then he would catch her.

Azarith growled at the males which were surronding her and getting to close. Kaerth she didn't mind, he was one of her favorites. She was torn between choosing him and Decoth. They were the ones she liked best, because they showed respect, even in flight.
With a sudden surge, she moved away quickly from the males. Before folding her wings to her back and diving down. She spread her wings again and glanced behind her to see which of the males followed her manover. She kept using wind currents to her advantage so she was not tiring out.

Decoth had been right, it looked as though Azarith didn't like the males crowding her. Growling was an obvious sign of distaste... and again it seemed her irritation hadn't been focused towards him. Good. He had to keep it that way if he wanted to win. But it was hard for the Bronze, sure as he was that he had a good chance of winning, to push away the thought that the Pearl seemed likely to favor the Silvers simply because they were Silvers.
It was a thought he didn't like and hopefully it wouldn't prove itself to be true. But if he lingered on it, Decoth was sure he wouldn't be able to win the Flight. Azarith was what mattered now... he could hate the Silvers later, if one won. If he won... he might like them a bit more. Especially if Azarith laid a few, he would have to like his offspring.
Now Azarith was surging away from the males. Why she had gone so close, allowed them so close he didn't know. He dove after her, and drew up suddenly when she paused and looked back. Was she checking to see who had dropped out? It would surely make the choice at the end easier if more males left, just leaving one to snag the lovely queen. But it didn't seem likely.
Then she was off again. Decoth followed, allowing a couple showy rolls into his flight. He still had plenty of energy, whether making use of the wind currents and thermals or not. He was a Bronze, the very best of the male dragons! Perhaps the Silvers were bigger, but size wasn't everything. Were they agile? None seemed to be performing for Azarith quite as Decoth was. Maybe they were lacking in creativity too... a good mate had to be smart. Decoth figured he was all of that.

She was growling at them. The males. Was it directed at him though? Kaerth wasn't entirely sure, though he hoped that wasn't the case. Beautiful Azarith hissing at him, it was a sorrowing thought, one that Kaerth didn't want to entertain for long, not with her jumping ahead like that.
Pulling away from the others with a few quick strokes of his wings, Kaerth knew he should probably be starting to feel the burn in his wings, but he just... Wasn't. Perhaps it was just his size, the size that stopped him showing off for Azarith like that other silly bronze. Oh... That was a mean thought, he shouldn't think things like that. The bronze hadn't done anything. Oh shards, he felt bad now...
Would she prefer a bronze mate? A tradtional coloured dragon? One that had proven to be mates to queens, or a silver? Either way, Kaerth was uncertain, but he wouldn't let his insecutrities drag him down. Not now. He had lasted this far into the flight! It was longer than he'd ever held onto the hope of catching in flights, so it was good. He was young, strong, and there was no way he was going to drop out before the bronze. No way. Glorious Azarith was flying, and he was not giving up.
Carefully diving after her, Kaerth pulled out of the dive before the others had, not wanting to risk straining his wings in anyway. For that would be stupid, and Azarith would not want a stupid mate. He wasn't stupid though, His had told him that many times. Seeing the bronze's tricks out of the corner of his eye, Kaerth shook his head. It wasn't fair. He could do those things, but Kaerth couldn't. Well, maybe he could. Making up his mind quickly, Kaerth twisted to the side, folding his wings into his body before snapping them out and darting after her again with a loving croon. Did she see? Did she see?! He did a trick! He'd never thought he could do tricks! But for her, special, beautiful, glorious, wonderful, majestic Azarith, he would do anything.
Azarith, special, beautiful, glorious, wonderful, majestic Azarith. He spoke her name like a carress, respect and longing in each word he spoke. Azarith was just... Too beautiful for words.

Laragarth realized a touch to late that she didn't like crowding, and so he moved to the side, away. HE would continue flying, even if he had already realized that he wouldn't win. She was beautiful ,and he wanted her so badly, but she did not seem to be favoring him. Moving away, toward the side lines seemed like giving up. Like giving up to a BRONZE! He was a silver and he knew he was great.
When she sprang away, he shook his head and followed. Being big had advantages, like not tiring as fast as others. He still stayed away, over to the side, but still there incase she decided that she had changed her mind,=. Her unlike of crowding had pretty much humbled him, weather he wanted it or not, and he knew that even getting close right now would probably give him no chance at all.
He felt so defeated knowing this. He felt horrible that he had crowded, and he wished somehow that he could make it up, that he could unanger this beautiful Pearl infront of him, and so he said, Lovely Azarith, I am sorry for crowding you.
These words inthemselves were a step up for him, he almost became as shy as his H'carn normally was. But he stayed with the flight, for the joy of flying and because he still had a ton of eenergy.

Azarith crooned soothingly to Kaerth. She used a thermal to bring her up to the highest she could go without it being to hard for her to breath. She checked to make sure Kaerth followed. She hissed, which turned to a growl of warning, at all the other males. She had chosen her mate, she had chosen Kaerth.
(Sorry for short post guys.)

Cautious hope filled Kaerth as she crooned to him, the silver pausing a moment before folloing her up higher. The air was thin, but that was no problem, who would worry about such things when they were chasing? As long as he didn't pass out from-
No, not even a lack of air would stop Kaerth's joy that bubbled up as she crooned to him. Him. Azarith had chosen him as her mate. Crooning back at her, a low note of surprise and joy, the large silver moved closer to her, nuzzling her neck happily. His beautiful Pearl.
Azarith, my beautiful Azarith. Words were whispered in her mind in the softest tone as Kaerth twined his neck and tail with hers. He would never let his beautiful mate fall alone, and he at least would be strong enough to catch her. Rumbling happily to her, Kaerth allowed his claws to rest gently on her shoulders.
(OMG -jaw drop- I can't believe he won Oo)
