Begins at the Weyr:[/b]
"I didn't say you could go!" Kai's eyes were narrowed in anger as Crys shifted from foot to foot, she wouldn't be tagging along after him, looking like the faithful shadow, jsut waiting for him to lose his temper. Not today. Still, she hadn't actually meant to tell him, he got angry for the silliest of reasons.. Like now, where Crys was remaining wel out of arm's reach, to terrified to step any closer.
"I-I won't be g-gone all day. J-just a little while." She mumbled, glancing around the hall for Jasmyn.
The day before, Crys had met the weyrwoman, and Chrissa had amazingly liked her, a placid creature in Jasmyn's arms, compared to the snarling gold now. Shocked when Jasmyn offered to spend the day with her, Crys had been happy to accept, though now was wondering at the intelligence of that as her brother stared at her, anger flashing in his dark eyes.
"Not gone all day? We have chores-" Translation: You have my chores to do. "You promised you wouldn't leave me to my own devices." He was playing with her words, she'd never promised such a thing, but she instantly felt guilty.
"Kai... I-I'll do my c-chores when I co-come back." Crys mumbled unsteadily, yelping as he moved forward adn grasped her wrist. Wrong thing to say obviously.
Already swollen and bruised, Kai's tight grip on he wrist made nothing easier, and Crys bit down on her lip to stop herself calling out for Azarith. She'd handled this before, she could do it now. To anyone passing by, it wouldn't be an incriminating scene, for Kai's expression had been forced into a sweet smile, and though he held her wrist, it didn't look as tight as what it was.
"Crys, who would want to hang out with you?" He snorted with laughter, tightening his fingers, Crys shrugged her shoulders obiediantly, and twisted away from him. Before he could grab her again, she'd turned and run off.
Moments later, she sat on the beach, toes buried in the sand as she looked at the purple finger marked bruises on the swollen wrist. She should see a healer about half the bruises she got, never did though, that would mean explaining. Chrissa fluttered down from her shoulder, sending her a questioning image of Jasmyn.
"Yes darling, that's who we're seeing. Do you remember Azarith as well?" Smiling as Chrissa instantly sent an image of the large pearl dragon, the gold cheeped happily. Of course she remembered, who wouldn't?
"Well, now we just have to wait, why don't you go swim?" Crys asked, laughing as Chrissa shook her head and used her tail to sweep more sand over Crys' feet.
