Looks: Having not quite hit her growth spurt yet, Scaeva is about 4’10” and still holds onto many childish qualities, in build at least. Her skin is naturally semi-dark, similar in shade to people in the southern parts of Asia. She has a lithe build, as of yet showing little signs of puberty.
Thick and black, her hair is long and usually pulled back in a runner-tail but even then flows to the small of her back. Her eyes almost match her hair; their color is a dark brown, almost black. Contrasting the rest of her youthful appearance, her eyes hold an age beyond her years. While her build makes her seem younger, her eyes make her seem older.
The rest of her face still seems to sort of cling to its baby-fat, she has round cheeks and slightly wetter, larger lips that often hang open a little to give her an ever-curious expression. Her nose is thin and has a sort of ski-slope shape, another contrast to the rest of her face and body.
Personality: Scaeva can be slightly rebellious and very independent. She doesn’t like doing anything she’s been told to do and is good at coming up with ways for avoiding it, but if left to do things on her own she usually does do it. If you tried to tell her to do something though, she wouldn’t.
Outgoing and bold, she never takes insults to herself and friends and is quick to react to pretty-much anything. Although not particularly mean or rude herself, if someone is acting like that around her, she will do so right back. Insults and comebacks never fail Scaeva.
Last, Scaeva practically breathes music. She loves to dance and all her movements have some range of grace and some sort of discreet beat to them. Percussion instruments are what she really excels at, although Scaeva can also sing. Her voice isn’t exceptional, but she can manage a clear alto. It’s rare to see Scaeva completely still or quiet, she’s often humming some sort of tune and usually moving to it too.
History: Scaeva’s first few years of life were overall uneventful ones. She was born to a woman in a camp of Holdless people, basically renegades because of the infamous reputations of many people. Without known father, she was raised basically by everyone in the group. It didn’t take long for her to get used to keeping hidden from people outside her group, there always seemed to be someone or other looking for someone in the camp. But although she got used to avoiding notice, she didn’t like it at all and let people know. Despite her dislike, hiding was more or less forced and so the in and out life of the renegades continued unhindered by the little girl.
Nearly everyone in the group had at least one fire-lizard, they were useful in watching out for dragons and other people, along with hunting and carrying messages. More intelligent and often more obedient than canines, felines, or runners, they were everywhere. Scaeva Impressed her first one when she was five, a slender Blue she named Dive.
When she was nine Dive chased and caught a Green; one of the hatchlings from the clutch ended up Impressing Scaeva, another Blue she named Shy. The last fire-lizard Impressed to her more randomly, someone’s Gold had clutched and an egg thought to be a dud was thrown out after the hatching. Scaeva had been nearby and noticed a crack in its side; she helped pry the shell off and ended up with a tiny Brown who she eventually named Kih(Keeh).
Getting Searched seemed very chance. Scaeva had been sent into a Hold, something that happened rarely and was a job for the youth since they were less often recognized. A Searchdragon was in the market are and ended up telling its rider that Scaeva should be a Candidate. She completed her ‘mission’ for her group before gathering up her few things, kissing her mom goodbye, and being carried to Pearl Bay Weyr.

Blue Fire-lizard Dive
Age: 8
Appearance: Dive is a large fire-lizard, easily cresting 29 centimeters in length and has a pure hide almost the color of the ocean on a clear day. Basically, other than being on the big side, he is a very average fire-lizard with few noticeable quirks to his build.
Personality: Dive is a proud, bold Blue and likes to show off and can be seen as a bit of a daredevil. He loves to chase Greens and Scarlets and has caught quite a few. He is also very loyal to Scaeva and her other fire-lizards and very protective of everyone he likes. Dive often acts like a wild fire-lizard, he mostly catches his own food and does his best to act independent and take care of himself although he would never really leave Scaeva.
Blue Fire-lizard Shy
Age: 4
Appearance: A medium-sized flitt, Shy is about 26 centimeters and has a very thin, light build. He looks frail, and often acts like he is although he really isn’t. Shy’s hide is a light blue, rather like the sky, and speckled with dark blue. The specks are especially dense on his flanks and along his stomach.
Personality: As his name might hint, Shy is a shy fire-lizard, the complete opposite of Dive. He rarely leaves Scaeva’s shoulder, preferring to hide in the seeming safety of the shadows of her neck or in her dense hair. He hasn’t risen to chase yet either, since Dive takes every chance he can Shy seems to see it better that he doesn’t try to compete against his father. He is probably also scared to try… but that’s his secret. >.>
Brown Fire-lizard Kih
Age: 3
Appearance: Kih is definitely on the small end of Browns, only 28 centimeters in length, making him smaller even than Dive of Scaeva’s Blues. If not for his color, he easily could be one. Kih’s hide is a light, sandy brown, although its lightest point is along his head and the top of his back and seems to gradually fade darker from there.
Personality: After nearly not even getting a chance to start life, Kih rarely takes chances now and is a very stern, down-to-earth fire-lizard. He likes to play with Shy and Dive, but rarely other fire-lizards and hardly ever to a place where he can’t see Scaeva unless she sends him on an errand. He has tried to chase a few Greens in his lifetime, but not won yet and probably isn’t thinking he will. We’ll see…
Blue Fire-lizard Spray
Age: Hatchling
Appearance: A medium-large fire-lizard, Spray is about 26 centimeters in length and knows how to use every inch of this. His hide is a dark shade of blue, very contrasted by the silvery claws that tip his paws. His hide bears no markings except for a spot of blue-gray at about his knees on the inside of each hind leg.
Personality: Spray likes to be on top and lead, but also knows when to back down and who to listen to. Dive is obviously someone he obeys, although Shy and Kih often get bullied by this outgoing Blue. Scaeva is only a presence who feeds him; rather like Dive, Spray likes to wander and run his own life.

Appearance: Very similar to his brother Spray, Danger is a dark shade of blue with no markings at all on his hide. The easiest to see difference between him and Spray is that his hides are a dark and shiny black. Danger is only slightly larger than his brother, measuring out at just under 27 centimeters.
Personality: Perhaps Danger was named too quickly, for although he likes to fight with Spray, he is otherwise somewith withdrawn. Although not as shy and desperate for Scaeva's presence as Shy and Kih, he likes to be around her and keep out of trouble. Gaming with Spray is probably the most dangerous thing Danger ever does.

Name Change: None
Color Preferences: Scarlet, Green, maybe a Blue. A Scarlet would be a fun match for Scaeva since they seem to be outgoing dragons and that would go well with her. They’re also larger, though not a high-ranking dragon and she doesn’t think she’s quite cut out for something with rank… but something bigger she would like. A Green, just for their boisterous attitudes, having something hyper and hard to control might take Scaeva’s mind a bit off not being controlled and maybe she would be a bit more obedient when she has something hard to care for to tend to. As for a Blue, although she’s not bi or homosexual right now, she could become so and a male dragon would just be a funny match for her… especially a shy Blue since she’s so outgoing. A good contrast, I suppose.
