Name: Jordana
Age: 20 Turns
Rank: Greenrider
Gender: Female
Sexuality:Hetero
Looks: Jordana is certainly a woman that breaks out of the mould, she's not small and petite, delicate as a flower. She's the opposite of that and would be quite insulted if you tried to find similarities between someone who is tiny and herself. She wasn't built to hide in the shadows, or melt into the background. She's taller than the average height, if only by a few inches and rather than having a slim delicate build, hers is rather stocky and roped with muscles. Jordana is a fairly strong woman, having been a fairly athletic person most of her life. Her hair isn't exactly the most glorious colour, and is often thought of as rather dull, simply a light brown colour with no natural tints or shade or any unnatural ones either. It's not overly short, nor long, only brushing her shoulders gently; it's rather ragged cut at the tips, as though it's been cut carelessly with a belt knife, with little care as to how it looks in the end.
Her eyes are of an average size, not overly large, nor small in her features, the only thing standing out about them being the strange hazel colour that seems to stand out in it’s mix of green and brown. The lashes framing her eyes are not overly thick or dark, matching her hair colour more than anything. Her nose is long and flat, her lips nothing out of the ordinary, not full, not thin… Mostly, she’s fairly average, Jordana isn’t the prettiest woman around, but she is attractive.
Jordana’s skin tone isn’t pale, lucky for her, it’s a more natural golden colour than anything. A sort of tan one might have to lie on the beach for hours a day to get, one Jordana gets naturally. It’s rather strange, looking slightly exotic, but Jordana could care less. Her hands are almost always dirty, and there are some rough calluses on her hands, like wise, she does have some scars, never being one to be squeamish around animals or shirking any task. Most are small and fairly insignificant, barely even visible, all except for the one on her left arm, a long scratch that happened on the day she Impressed Livith
Personality: ] Jordana has a mixture of traits about her, she seems to be one thing, but is another. She’s fairly courteous, polite, and respectful to almost every one, she knows when to be formal and when it is okay to be informal. Her father (Roran) always had a thing for formality, since Jordana was his only child; she was to learn how to behave in public properly, like a true lady should. Jordana may not have liked the lessons, but dealt with them and would admit that over her years, the lessons have served her well in some aspects, some situations that she’s been in.
At the same time, Jordana can be… Rather meticulous, she pays great attention to detail; she likes things done right, and usually prefers it to be the first time. When the details are ignored, Jordana can become rather irritable and annoyed, feeling that the task or what ever it is, is incomplete without those specific details taken care of. She’s always been that way, and isn’t likely to change any time soon, the habit can be an annoying one, but not one such as chewing on her hair or nails, it’s one someone can get used to.
Jordana is also curious, if something is unknown, then she has to find out all about it, the confusing must be understood. She’s always like that, always had to find out things, though sometimes, that hasn’t worked out to her best interests, nor has the trait always been a healthy one for her. Jordana just can’t leave things alone, if she hears a noise and the reason can’t be seen, she has to investigate, she has a compulsive desire to investigate and learn.
She can’t follow a path set down for her, the instant Jordana is told she has to be somewhere at this time, she’ll rebel, it’s almost a fault. She’s just a non-conforming person, and hates to follow the footsteps of others, feeling this will take away her individuality, something she clings to with both hands. Often, it can become an argument, as Jordana finds following her own path preferable to what some call the ‘right’ path.
Unfortunately, another trait of hers is she’s clumsy. Perhaps it was inevitable, not being a slim, graceful, dark beauty; instead she has her own charm... Part of this, is the fact she’s clumsy. Jordana just can’t seem to keep things in her hands; she’ll often trip over nothing, drop things, bump into things, often known as fairly accident prone.
Jordana loves music, perhaps it is the fact that she was never around it as a child, or perhaps there is just something about it that holds her captive, either way, she loves it. Harpers are often idolized and any Gather is a must see for her, if only to listen to the different beats. Jordana has a pleasant enough singing voice, not one you’d cringe away from, or one that would shatter windows, but it’s not the most glorious thing ever heard on Pern before either. She picks music up quickly and had she been given the chance, might have made a fairly good Harper.
Jordana doesn’t have much of a temper, it takes a lot to get her angry, and when she does, she doesn’t raise her voice, instead it’s cool, calm, the kind of tone that makes you more disappointed in yourself than she is of you, a certain warning sign you’ve angered her is a tensing of muscles, or her open features suddenly becoming closed. Or her voice dropping so it’s barely a whisper, those are usually the only signs one will get.
Jordana is also extremely unlucky, she doesn’t know why, she doesn’t understand it. However, it is true, if something bad is going to happen, it’s more than likely going to happen to her. She’ll often lose things, drop things, fall down etc. it’s on going, if anyone is going to get caught out in the rain, it’ll be her more than likely. Jordana just has a habit of being in the wrong place at the wrong time, a rather unhealthy habit at times.
History: Jordana was born to a simple Merchant couple, her father, Roran, and her mother, Jodra, in – Hold. It was a simple life, Jordana enduring the lessons from her father simply because it made him happy, and spending the rest of her time with the Hold Bots, just playing about in any way, since the girls of the Hold often annoyed her by their lack of activity. Preferring to sit around and gossip… It was rally very boring for Jordana. As a young child, four to nine turns, hanging around the boys was fairly acceptable. There was nothing improper about it, or no reason that her father, the proper man he was, to complain.
That was, until she hit ten turns, it was then her father started to think that perhaps it was time she looked into apprenticeship, or something like that, something that ladies did. Like, weaving, or going to the Harper hall, something lady-like. The idea of course, was repulsive for Jordana, who wanted nothing to do with the more boring aspects. Harper Hall sounded alright, she’d always liked music, but no, it was weaving her father wanted her to take up in the end. Instead, with much pleading and whining on her part (something that didn’t happen very often), she became an Apprentice BeastMaster.
Yet, it seemed Pern wasn’t done with the surprises yet. Like everyone else, Jordana herself had been shocked at the appearance of the new colours. Once the shock wore off, she didn't see why some people had a problem, they could still fly and defend couldn't they? So their hide was a different colour. Big deal.
She was seventeen when Searched, the brown dragon landing ever so carefully in the main courtyard of the Hold, hopefuls gathered around him as the Hold Brat’s stared on in awe, merely looking at the brown hide, held back by mother’s or foster mothers. Jordana could remember getting the herb her Master needed, something about one of the Herd Beasts being sick, and since she was free for the afternoon, having nothing to do, she’d been the one to go get it. What she didn’t expect was for the Brown-Rider to approach her as she was tucking the herb away in a small pouch, making sure it was secure. One hand was lain upon her shoulder, making her jump, the eyes that stared at her were kind enough, even if the tone of voice gave nothing away. She was told rather quickly that the Brown thought her a good Candidate, and if it was alright with her parents and her master, she should come to the Weyr and Stand.
Of course Jordana agreed, her parents had no problems, nor did her master. All went well for the three seven-days she spent at the Weyr, chores kept her busy along with the lessons that she had to catch up on, just so she would be prepared. Then there was the Egg Touching, a sensation that Jordana wasn’t likely ever to forget, not with the eyes of the Gold watching ever so carefully as they moved about, and then… There was the Hatching. Rukbat was well in the sky before the eggs started to shudder and crack, before the Queen called out and the hum began to welcome her children. White robes were donned, and the sandals that did nothing against the heat, before they Stood. The Hatching appeared to move quickly, eggs hatching at an alarming rate, pairing off just as quickly. One or two betweened, all before the smallest egg had even twitched once. When it did hatch, it shattered, commanding the attention of everyone within those caverns as the tiny green dragon stretched herself out. She bounced amongst the girls, searching for Hers. She passed Jordana twice before finally turning and running back to her, Jordana had moved back just as she’d tried to hook her claws in her robe, and instead of material, skin was cut. Creeling softly as she came closer, looking at the blood with worry she came closer again to her, nudging her playfully about the knees.
JordanaMineMineMine! I am Livith and we are perfect for each other. We are, yesyesyesyes, most definitely. I wasn’t sure at first, but now I am, oh yesyesyes Iam, want to know something else JordanaMine? I am very hungry, awfully hungry, there isn’t much to eat in that icky shell… Will you feed me? I am sorry I hurt you, but you did move. The words, and the feeling of the Impression were never forgotten, and never will be.

Dragon Name: Livith
Dragon Age: Three turns
Dragon Color: Livith’s hide is never one colour, no matter how you look at her. The shades on her hide vary quite dramatically, from the pureemerald green that seems to dominate her entire body to a sort of paleish, faded green on her wing membranes. Livith is easy to spot, even at a distance, while her hide is fairly normal green colouring; there are swirls of an almost mossy colour over her hide in random patterns that stand out perhaps more than they should. Once closer to the dragon, other ‘blemishes’ in the colour can be seen, on her muzzle there are small freckles of an almost blue colour. This gives her a slightly more, human, appearance.
For a green, Livith is tiny, quite runt like, and apart from her colouring, doesn’t really stand out all that much. Unlike her rider, she can be graceful and has a more delicate, lithe build rather than stocky or strong. She looks fairly well proportioned, though if one gets close enough it’s obvious her eyes are a bit larger than normal. Her wings and tail are much larger than what is normal, but that only makes her slightly awkward on land, but a fairly decent flier.
Dragon Personality: Livith is definitely, not an arrogant Green. If anything, at 3 turns, she’s still acting like a Hatchling at every opportunity she gets. She has no problems with the other colours, and is more likely to chat animatedly with them than she is those of her own colour. Livith’s temper is pretty much non-existent, she’s very tolerant of things she doesn’t exactly love, and never raises her ‘voice’. Sweet and adoring, Livith loves almost everyone, though some people it can take a while for her to get used to. Other wise, she’ll happily talk to someone that isn’t Jordana, whether an emergency or just lack of anyone else to talk to.
Livith, if told to, wouldn’t have a clue how to pull rank. She doesn’t know how to order people about; it is more likely to be a suggestion or a question if they would do it. Unlike her rider, she has no idea when to be courteous, formal and polite. Always behaving like the Hatchling she still seems to be. Livith is more likely to talk with Greens and Blues rather than Bronzes or Golds, finding the higher ranked colours far more boring than she can stand. Livith can be very protective of Jordana and when in possessive mood, it can be hard to get near her rider, other wise; Livith is extremely affectionate and would do anything for a cuddle or a scratch.
Livith could be called intelligent, but unfortunately she rarely shows it. A bit of an air-head, she rarely thinks about rank or duty and usually has to be reminded several times to do something before she actually does it. On top of that she has a habit of turning everything into a game… Other wise, it’s just too boring. Another aspect that make Livith completely unique, is that she seems to have a high does of sugar or K'lah in her blood, making her constantly hyper and running words together quite often.
