Jasmyn moved out of the room and out of any one else's hearing. She waited for Kai to follow her. She made sure no one was in hearing range before she began.
"Now listen here young man. I do not want you to ever go near Crysania in this weyr ever again. Should I find her injured by your hand again you will find yourself back where you came from. We do not need or want candidates or riders like that. You're lucky that I'm letting you stay for a chance to impress."

Zadari gave a choked little laugh, the idea of someone finding her pretty very near laughable for no other reason than she couldn't believe it. Smiling wasn't her strong point any way. "Thank you.." She whispered hesitently, her gratitude definate but none the less hesitent as she spoke.
A sad smile crossed her features, eyes taking on a slightly distant look as she shook her head, "I'm sure you would be as strong, if not more so L'cos. Perhaps it would be harder for you, losing your name as well as your dragon..." She trailed off, sighing, being a female rider, she didn't know that pain, she only knew the loss was enough to make her wish she could bury herself somewhere. For a moment, she paused, uncertaincy crossing her features, "L'cos, you will be there when Azarith's clutch hatches won't you?" Never mind the queen hadn't risen or clutched, Zadari wanted a promise that she'd have a friend there on the sands.
Kai's expression darkened, hate for his sibling crossing his face, hate so dark it would make anyone wonder, but he forced himself to smile. "Weyrwoman, what ever makes you think I would stoop so low?" He asked, sounding hurt and innocent, "I would never hurt my sister, she is very dear to me." And when he got his hands on her, she was going to wish she'd kept her mouth shut, she was going to wish she'd never come to the weyr. He smiled almost innocently, but there was a darkness behind that smile that hid teh fear at going home, "I love my sister weyrwoman, I'd never hurt her. You can't trust every word someone says milady."

Jasmyn crossed her arms and leveled Kai with a stern glare. "I trust in Azarith's judgement and she believes and trusts Crysania. Dragons cannot lie and a few have the ability to scan minds of people other than their riders. She was able to do so with Crysania and knows that you were the one that hurt her.
Right now the only thing that is keeping you from going home is the fact that candidates are needed for when Azarith clutches. You may want to straighten up your act or you may find yourself very likely to end up left standing on the grounds. Just because you have a bronze firelizard doesn't mean you'll impress a dragon.
Heed my warning Kaiser, or you will find yourself headed home while Crys stays here."

Kai wasn't about to bow down before that glare, Crys was ruining his dreams and he'd make sure she paid for it, instead, he kept his expression innocent as he gazed at teh weyrwoman, sharding Crys and her hear all dragons thing. "I'm sorry Weyrwoman, but you must be mistaken. As I said, I would never hurt my sister." Though his tone too, was innocent, it was hard to keep his dislike of her out of his voice.
If Azarith clutched, she was no gold in Kaiser's eyes, and that made her so much less to him. She might never clutch, she might never fly, they didn't know anything about the new colours, they could be as useless as flitts, or whers, but Kai wasn't going to say that. "But Weyrwoman, I assure you, I didn't hurt her. You would punish me for a crime I didn't commit?" Dragons couldn't lie, but they could be misled, all he had to do was make Jasmyn believe that Crys had been toying with her.
Glancing at Jai with slight affection, the boy stroked the firelizard gently, Jai was as good as any dragon, so he couldn't ride him, or wasn't respected for it, Jai was better than any of them. "I know weyrwoman, he adn Crys are my true friends, I hope you don't send me home... This is my dream." That at least wasn't a lie.

L'cos smiled at Zadari. " You are welcome, my dear. But you should get compliments like that more often." He sighed.
" Losing the rider name would be a larger blow I guess. More of a reminder, but of that...what isn't? Thank you for telling me I'd be strong, but who knows? Endath is my life." He smiled a little sadly and thoughfully.
When she asked if he was going to be at the Hatching, he grinned. " Hmmm...let's see. I will be there no matter what happens. For you." He stroked her hair again. " Everyone needs a good friend for support sometimes, even strong riders like me." He winked.

Jasmyn crossed her arms. "I mean it young man, or you do not stand at all. Do not go near her. I'll know if you do."She said.
She intended to make her Tidalwave stay with Crys. She realised that the girl was very unlikely to tell her. Merely because this boy was such a threat to her. "I have eyes all over the weyr. My queen can make any of the firelizards report to her. And you'd better start doing your own chores. They're ment for you to do, not for her. She has her own."
